Financial News Publishing Was Entirely Manual
Before the automation system, financial-news articles had to be written manually. Covering companies and ticker-related developments required recurring research, writing and publishing effort, making the process time-consuming and difficult to scale.
The goal was not simply to generate text with AI. The system needed to understand which ticker/company it was working on, ingest relevant financial-news sources, create distinct website-specific content, generate search metadata, avoid repeated coverage and publish reliably into WordPress.

How the Automated Workflow Works
Nine stages, from ticker configuration to a credited, published WordPress article — running on a schedule, not on a person.

Configure
Administrators configure the companies/tickers and processing rules from WordPress.

Collect
The system pulls relevant ticker/company financial-news and supporting data from external sources including EODHD and Yahoo Finance.

Process
Items are queued and processed through scheduled background jobs rather than relying on an editor to trigger every article manually.

Transform
OpenAI is used to transform the source material into website-specific article content.

Check Repetition
AI-based duplicate/repetition logic helps prevent publishing coverage materially the same as content already processed.

Generate SEO Fields
The system can automatically generate the article title, SEO meta title and meta description. These outputs are configurable.

Translate
For the German publishing workflow, content is translated into German as part of the automation.

Publish
Approved workflow rules can publish the content automatically to WordPress.

The source is still referenced/credited at the bottom of the article.

A major technical/content challenge was transforming financial-news source material into distinct content appropriate for the destination website while preserving source attribution.
